Dear RE parents,- Sept 7 & 8 - RE sessions begin - MEET n GREET your child's catechists when you drop them off and then head to the Parish Hall to chat with volunteers who will help you discover ways to enrich your and your family's faith journey right here at St. Alphonsus!
- Sept 14 - 9:30 am or 4pm - PARENT MEETING (mandatory) in Parish Hall for all 2nd grade parents whose children are receiving the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion this academic year.
- Sept 14 - Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) - during the 10:30 am Mass - our volunteer leader, Lori Mieure, needs helpers!
- Oct 1 - Little Flowers Girls Club - a new ministry for Catholic Girls ages 5 - 10. Click on the link for more info or to register.
As we prepare the curriculum and classrooms for your children's RE sessions starting Sept. 7 & 8, we pray for your Domestic Church! As the primary catechist for your child's faith formation, there is much you can do to help them live the faith and this link can help you get started.- Our curriculum, Gospel Weeklies, shares the Gospel readings at an age appropriate level in the classrooms each week that RE is in session. Your family will arrive at Mass prepared to hear these same readings! You discussing the Gospel reading as a family on the way to church, after church or somewhere in your day helps engage the whole family with Mass. That's THREE TIMES in one weekend you GET to hear the Word of God!

Journey to the Manger, a family event occurring on Dec. 13 from 5:30 - 7:30pm, needs a team of volunteers to coordinate. See the graphic below, click on the link and sign up or contact me if you have questions.
