Baptisms at St. Alphonsus Liguori

  NOTE: The below registration is for infants and children ages 6 or younger. Those ages 7 or older who want to be baptized into the Catholic Church should contact Christina Steele at [email protected] or 317-873-2885 x14205.
  
  To participate in First Communion and First Reconciliation during 2nd grade, children should be baptized by age 6.
Baptism Registration Information
- Baptisms for infants and children ages 6 and younger are scheduled upon attending a baptism class and submitting required paperwork.
  
  Registration in the parish is required OR a letter of permission from the parish in which you are registered.
  
  Baptism Schedule
  Baptisms take place:
  -2nd Saturday of each month following 4:30pm Mass
  -4th Sunday of each month at 11:30am

  Register for a Class
- Godparent Requirements
  
  At least one godparent is required to be a practicing Catholic.
  
  Catholic godparents must:
  Be at least 16 years of age
  Have received all the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation, First Communion)
  Currently live the Catholic faith, according to the Precepts of the Catholic Church
  If married, be married in the Catholic Church and have received a Convalidation
  If unmarried, live the single life according to the teachings of the Church
  Complete a Letter of Good Standing, have it signed and sealed by their church of registration and submit it to St. Alphonsus Liguori
  
  If a godparent is not Roman Catholic, but attends a Christian church, he/she will be listed as a Christian Witness. Christian Witnesses are asked to:
  Provide a letter from their church stating they are baptized and living their faith
