Children in St. Alphonsus Liguori's Religious Education classes receive First Holy Communion in 2nd grade.
A baptismal certificate is required on record in the parish office by
NOVEMBER 6, 2026 (see guidelines below).Note: Here at St. Alphonsus, children may receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion if they have reached the
age of reason (7 years old), have completed at least one year of formal catechesis - either in a parish religious
education program, Catholic homeschool or parish school - and are in 2nd grade. If your child does not meet these requirements, please contact Andrea Simpson at [email protected].
