Children in St Alphonsus religious education classes receive First Communion in 2nd grade.
A baptismal certificate is required on record in the parish office by
NOVEMBER 7, 2025 (see guidelines below).Note: Here at St. Alphonsus, children may receive the Sacrament of First Holy Communion if they have reached the age of reason (7yrs old), have completed at least one year of formal catechesis - either in a parish religious education program, Catholic homeschool, or parish school - and are in 2nd grade.If your child does not meet these requirements, please contact Laura Shuler at [email protected].
